White champagne shower with bubbles

Wow it's Sept already, I swear the time passes so quickly. Now for the very belated post that I wanted to write: Confessions of a retail worker
I had experience at 2 retail jobs before, the first one was alright but the second one was.. Maybe because of the environment. But I'm sure my woes are easily found in almost all type of retail jobs. Please pardon my sarcastic/angst comments below (◡‿◡✿)
- Forever asking for discount
Please please don't do that. Most of the time actually we can't give it to you. Don't tell us things like I'm sure you can do something about it/you are the boss here/I frequent customer here. If I'm the boss then I won't be working already -_-. Also, how am I suppose to know if you are the frequent customer here? So many faces until I forget alr LOL.
There's always some exceptions, at my workplace we can actually give some small discounts if they buy quite a lot of items. But if you are super persistent in wanting discounts, the more I won't want to give it to you (so GL right HAHAA). Your attitude also determines whether we give you discount or not. Don't give us trouble and you will get it. The more ridiculous you are, the more you won't get it. AND don't say "Only these much discount ah?", ok lor then I don't give.
PS: But my job now requires me to ask for discount from suppliers sometimes T____T I'm so sorry and always feel bad whenever I have to ask.
- Line hoggers
You are alr at the cashier but your friends/family/whatever decides to look at other items and you ask me to wait. I will get super irritated if this happens when there's a long queue and I alr keyed in your items. Spare a thought for those people waiting behind you.
- Money digger
Every so often I will meet customer that takes TONS of time to dig out their money from their wallet/some other universe hidden inside their handbags. I don't get why people don't use wallets and just keep in their bag/pockets. You not scared your money drop out??
Super irritating when there's a long queue behind and you take your own sweet time to dig your money out. Irritating scales explodes when you slowly dig out coins for your $10 purchase, in a mix of $0.50, $0.20, $0.10, $1 and even $0.05 coins (Which we normally reject if you give more than 2 5cent coins). AND you seem to can't count how much it is. (Seriously I always wonder how these people seem to pass maths and even graduate)

- Impatient people
I absolutely hate it when people ask me to hurry up/why so slow/I'm rushing somewhere please be quick/my child is crying please speed up. The thing is I'm always trying my best to serve as quickly as I can (Actually a lot of people always comment and am amazed on how fast I am HAHAHA). Who cares if you are rushing to somewhere else or catch a flight (I got this once), mange your time properly la don't blame it on us.
PS: Actually if customers say they are rushing I will actually slow down and do things even more slowly, HAHAHAA omg why am I so GL.
- People who ask stupid questions/weird requests
I get questions like "Wah real diamond/gold ah?" Err excuse me the thing is like less than $10 so what do you think is the answer?? This is the most common stupid question I get, will update if I can think of more LOL.
Weird requests like: "Can I use your toilet?" "Do you have water?". This is not your house, excuse me. If you want water please go out and buy instead of getting it from us, we are not a cafe/restaurant.
- People who think I can speak their language
Maybe this is more exclusive to my job due to the location of my workplace, I always get people who insist to speak to me in their language when it is obvious that I can't speak it. Sometimes they actually can understand English but they choose to communicate in their language to me -_- Thankfully, some customers around are kind enough to be the translator so, bless those people! \o/
Once I even encountered someone who scolded me in their language when I couldn't give them a discount. It sounded like a scolding based on the tone and the people's o_o reaction around me. No heart to ask other people what he said.
- Inconsiderate parents
Parents who don't give a shit while their child is destroying the shop. They just let their children run free and mess up the displays. Once I even had a girl breaking one of the tester sets and the parents said to not scold her since she's too young to understand what she did?? -_- The girl looks at least like a upper primary girl to me. Whut.
Oh, and parents who refuse to fold their strollers and proceeds to bulldoze through the crowded place and some even 'park' their strollers in the middle of nowhere -____-
That's all I can remember for now. On the other hand I've also encountered some lovely people who are super thankful after I've helped them. Sometimes we also had a short exchange and even joke around which makes me feel more human and less like a robot.
It's people like them who makes my shitty day feels better! Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity~
