Korea 2016: Part 1

Back from the land of kimchi and SJK~
It was an enjoyable journey and I've learnt so many things.
Shall split my post into 2 so that it will be less messier.

Long post below + lots of pics, please don't mind. Am trying my best to remember what I did everyday so that can refer back to this post if I'm going back to Korea again next time~
Shall write in point form as it's easier.

Day 1: 14th May

Took an overnight flight (NEVER AGAIN, CAUSE DIDN'T GET TO SLEEP AT ALL)
Was half dead next day, super tired
No sleep me = super cranky (according to my friend LOL)
Took AREX train from airport to City Hall station, didn't know there's only stairs when exiting the train station = all energy lost trying to carry luggage
An ahjumma saw us having difficulty carrying the luggage and tried to help us. + impression points of Koreans. So kind of her~
Guesthouse was erm, not that bad. Just gotta say you pay for what you get LOL.

First meal in Korea, banana milk is a must drink (How I miss you so much banana milk~)

In the guesthouse, not much room space for luggage and I didn't know why did they give us a 4 people room when we only have 3 people hahaha

Ate some snacks before queuing for the samgyetang (pic below) because thought the queue will be super long but in the end we only queued for like 15 mins? So we like ate 2 lunches LOL

SO NICE MUCH TASTY!! They gave us ginseng soju to pour into the soup. Only poured one cup though hahahha.

Went to Seoul station in the evening. Found this building quite nice so just took a pic in front of it. Not sure what building it is LOL. Weather was quite cold when we reached (Think was less than 20 deg)

Dinner!! SOONDUBU JIGGAE FTW!!!!

All the food we bought from the Lotte Mart LOL. Enough to fill an empty drawer completely.

DAY 2: 15th May

Went to dog cafe! Super different from the one at sg. Dogs there are SOOOO much more friendlier
They apparently separated the big dogs and small dogs
Did I mention it's so much cheaper. You just have to buy the drink and there's no entrance fee! You can just stay there the whole day!!
It was raining the whole day for that day so it's super wet + cold
Went to Mecentpolis mall, wanted to visit YG building but it was raining so nope :(
Went to another supermarket again LOL (Us and our obsessions with convenience stores+mart, I think we went to convenience stores every single day during our stay. There are convenience stores like almost everywhere, living up to their name LOL)
Went to Hottracks at night to try to find my Tiffany album but was sold out D:
Bought a Vixx album instead as it was on discount LOL, and got Ravi PC -____-

Day 3: 16th May

Went to Vivaldi Ocean Park via shuttle bus!
Bought a hat the previous day as it's a requirement to wear it in the water park (Not sure why)
The tour guide was super friendly and welcoming. I think we were the only foreigners that day visiting the water park so he was kinda like our personal guide hahaha.
Culture shock at the showering and changing room LOL.
Weather was SUPER cold (like 18 deg) and we were in our swimming costumes running around in the outdoor water park
Saw some handsome dudes at the outdoor pools hehehhehe
Rides were super fun! And thank god for the hot pools around if not we would have been frozen to death.
Tried the Fish Spa and no more of it in the future. Kept screaming as I can feel the fish biting my legs. So scary T____T
Finally tried beef at the water park as the menu there only had beef, it was nicer than I thought lolol.
Went back to Seoul around evening time, the shuttle bus dropped us around Insadong underground mall and explored there for awhile
Bought my Tiffany albums at some bookstore
Went to Cheonggyecheon stream and some drunkards tried to photobomb our photos -____-

DAY 4: 17th May

Coex Mall in the morning + afternoon > Lotte Young Plaza > Myeongdong at night
Ate macs for lunch, bulgogi burger FTW

DAY 5: 18th May

Went to Trick eye + Ice museum in the morning and then shopping around Hongdae area
Seoul tower in the evening
Silly me forgot to take the lock out that day :(
Got lost trying to find the cable car station, ended up going back to Myeongdong to take shuttle bus to find that it's just like slightly further down to the place where we gave up LOL
Went to Myeongdong at night and ate jjamppong!

In the ice museum, almost froze to death as it was super cold (around minus 10 deg)

Took neoprints at some ulu shop in Hongdae! When's the last time you saw a neoprint machine in SG LOL.

DAY 6: 19th May

Namdaemun market in the morning, nothing much there. It's more of like a textile market that people go to make their own clothes. But still quite cool
Weather started turning hot to like almost Sg weather but without all the sweats
Went to a cat cafe in the afternoon. ALL THE FURS! And a cat sprayed on Lixuan HAHAHHAA.

This cat kept coming to us when we came in only for us to realise that its tail had a heavy pee smell. Kept shooing it away but it kept coming back and swished its tail at us @___@

DAY 7: 20th May

Gyeongbokgung in the morning
Tried on the traditional royal costume for free as we saw it by chance while walking
Went to KBS building for Music Bank live recording
Super cool to see what's happening behind the scene. When they say live, it's not 100% live. Like example when a group sings 2 songs most likely one of the songs will not be performed live but prerecorded
Thought that I would have a chance to see Tiffany live since she's on the line up but turned out she did a prerecording instead (Not sure why)
Saddest day in my Korea trip :(
Brought my snsd lightstick for nothing, felt like an idiot LOL
Security was super strict there. You're not allowed to take any photos.
Saw AOA, Twice, Infinite Woohyun, LABOUM, April, Monsta X, Seventeen etc etc. Seolhyun really has good proportions
Saw Park Bo Geum and Red Velvet's Irene, Irene had to stand on a block when MC-ing with PBG as she's still quite short even with her heels on LOL.
