Just came back from the iLight Marina Bay festival!Went on friday and today as there were different activities for each night.
Didn't know that this is a yearly event.
In summary, it's a sustainable light art festival.
There are a lot of installation scattered over the whole of Marina Bay.
Let the pictures do the talking~
Day 1
Dinner at Itaden Udon! Mine was some salmon udon with creamy soup. Super yummy and cheap~
One of the first exhibitions that I saw: The cloud. This one is super cool because it was coated with a special coating that makes it look like it is powered by light. Yeap. #science
This one is called Fissure. You need to have 2 people to place their hand on this panel on each side for the inside to light up. Cool~
Dandelion. You can play with the flaps to make different types of shadows.
This one is called Ground Control to Major Tom. It's a spaceship with different type of stickers on each panel. Side note: the stickers looked like potential materials for my shattered glass nails HAAHA.
Inside of the spaceship. There's this extra person beside me tsk tsk.
This one is called The Unveiled Beauty. You can write messages on the panels~ Went back today but couldn't find it :( Sadded.
Shadow Bath. Not really sure why that name tho.
The inside of Lampshade! Pretty~
I saw the moon and it was *THIS* big. Apparently the intensity of the light depends on the air quality on that day (SO COOL). Means if the air quality is bad it will look very faded (Not sure how they do it, but still SO COOL)
Outside of Light Origami.
The inside is even cooler! Can you spot me in the picture? HAHAHAHA. Is this how the inside of a diamond is like?
Lightscape Pavilion. Reminds me of the thingys at the Garden by the Bays.
Saw some LED kites aerial performance, super coool~
Day 2
Dinner at Kabe No Ana! The pasta was super yummy, although it reminded me of the mee pok hahaha.
Went back to Marina Bay for the highlight of the night: Stargazing! Manged to saw the moon and Jupiter (in picture) using the telescope. It was super clear, really can see the craters on the moon. Also saw Jupiter and its 2 moons. Astronomy is super cool! #IWantToGoToSpace
Some laser thingy on the floor.
Didn't know art festival is my thing. Maybe it's because this one is interactive that's why it's more fun~
Will definitely go back again next year~
